Setting up your Windows Computer
Type “Workgroup” into the search field at the top left of the Settings app and then click on “Change workgroup name”. It is “WORKGROUP” by default.
Change computer name to your new ph phone number. Example ph16138945871
Change Workgroup Name to WOWDOWNTOWN
Click OK
Click Close
Click Restart Computer

The ethernet switch

You start with your normal Rogers Gen 1 DSL Modem setup. 25 foot shielded RJ11 Phone Cord for attenuation plugged into Tel1 and RJ45 Ethernet CAT5 cable going from Eth1 on your DSL Modem to your computer.
An RJ11 ADSL line filter is needed at the DSL Modem end of the connection.
The Ethernet Switch
Once you have established a DSL Connection, move the RJ11 Phone Cord from Tel1 to Eth2 on the DSL Modem. The modem portion will no longer be used, it is pure I/O from Eth1 to Eth2 using the CAT8 principle for Transmit and Receive.
